August was a kind of down month for Abve. She had a premiere of her first ever full short, one woman works which is coming up the 13/14 of September! Abve also took 2 first place ribbons at Dutchess county fair, 2 in second and a couple other ribbons all for photographt. Mom took home two third place ribbons for photography!
September News–
She will be back at the senior center again in September.
Classes are back in regular swing at the NY Academy of Ballet and Nutcracker Auditions. All artwork she will have for sale at her show in September will be available for purchase and those funds go straight to her training. She has also expressed a need for private lessons to grow with her technique, and those are $100 plus an hour. Abve also outgrew her ballet slippers and needs new leotards and tights along with props for her choreographic journey. She also takes donations via in person, Venmo and Paypal. Thank you for your Support. Each quarter for ballet this year is a minimum of $500 dollars. This doesn’t include other expenses for costumes, recital fees, extras and add ons.

July news
It’s been a busy month from NJ ballet, to lots of content creation on Youtube to dancing in a creative moment class hosted by Ballet Collective at Wethersfield Gardens in Millbrook to raising enough money for Abve’s first private lesson. She’s also been picking up drop ins whenever and wherever she can and is excited to see where her path leads next!
Special Shout out to being able to attend The Woods at Marist thanks to Ballet Collective. It was awesome being able to go beyond just the traditional ballet world and be exposed to something new. Abve did find an opportunity to dance for fun at the very end of the performance. They will be performing The Woods again, July 31-Aug 2. However, hurry because it looks like there are only tickets left on August 2nd!

Abve had the exciting opportunity to perform one of her original pieces of choreography that she created in a style beyond her usual style because she wanted to expand beyond. Her work was selected by a panel and she was assigned an amazing mentor, Sandi-Stratton Gonzalez.

Pop-Up Performance-
The Senior Friendship Center Poughkeepsie NY 12603 Feb. 25 2025 11 am and continues to appear once a month.
We haven’t posted a new blog in several years. HOWEVER, we are still covering awesome places to go in the Hudson Valley and other videos on all our social media channels including Youtube. We will be picking up on the written posts soon and focusing on cleaning up our website. Stay tuned.
Get fit Hudson Valley is back. We are at the half way mark and hiking our way through the Hudson Valley for awesome prizes depending on how many workouts we log! UPDATE: closed until next year
MHLS Road Trip is also in full swing. We are busy adventuring to all the libraries in our library system. It’s a great way to learn about different libraries in our area and have fun too. They give you a cool map and everything! Search for the clue at each library and don’t forget to get your stamp!

Special shoutout-Congrats to Abve for being cast as dancer in the Passion Project with a professional team from Memphis Tn. Show is at the end of June in Poughkeepsie NY, details coming soon.

We are super excited to become affiliates for a new book, Help Your Kids Learn & Love the Bible from Thinking Kids Press and Written by Danika Cooley! How awesome to have the next generation not only know the Bible but love it! We are excited to apply what we learn in the book with our Abby Girl so she can carry the knowledge and Love of her faith on all her adventures!
