Hi Everyone, since I have mainly been writing about our hiking adventures, I wanted to take a break and

write a post about another type of cool adventure we went on recently, Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl and Grill!

We traveled from the upper Hudson Valley, NY to get there. My brother lives only a few minutes away. It’s attached to Bass Pro Shops, so you can also go look at the cool scenery in there and get some shopping done afterwards. My daughter loves all the animals and thinks they are real.

When we walked inside Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill, we were greeted with very friendly people. We went early on in the day during the week and it wasn’t crowded at all. So, I highly recommend this place to stay at home mom’s, dad’s or whoever else watches the kiddos during the day.  I know on hot or rainy days, people are always searching for fun stuff to do.

They gave us a nice corner lane, setup the bumpers for my daughter and we all got shoes! Even my daughter was accommodated with her tiny little 7t bowling shoe. They were kind of adorable.

While we were bowling, we even tried their gator bites. They were able to custom order them with no issues from the chef without the spicey because I would have felt really bad if my daughter got fire mouth. The grownups barely got any as my lovely child was hovering over them and ate most of them on her own.  The beer was ice cold and sprite was great.

The scenery in this place is awesome down to the tiniest details. I love how the bowling balls pop-out of various water creatures and everything gives the appearance that you are underwater. My daughter was really taking it all in and asking questions about the different creatures. So it was educational too and that we love.

When we finished our game, we were provided with a printout because we wanted to always remember

our awful scores and how a 2.5 year old almost beat us. Granted, she had the bowling ball ramp and bumpers. You can see, I’m still trying to make myself feel better. Another great point, I was talking to the girl upfront as I chased my child around and she said that she saw we were still finishing our drinks, catching up and I was chasing my little one. She ended up giving us fifteen extra minutes on the lane. She will never know how much that meant to us. My daughter hardly ever gets to see her only uncle and we never get to just hangout with him and catch-up. So that extra little touch meant a lot. Of course, too, it also gave me time to run around and burn off the gator bites and beer.

It was my daughter’s first time bowling and she truly enjoyed herself. In fact, we all enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back. I highly recommend the place to anyone looking for a new adventure and fun twist on bowling.

See if they have a location near you!
