We recently returned to Seaquest Trumbull Connecticut. I wasn’t sure what to expect as we had been there before. However, Abby Girl wanted a Sloth for her birthday and with the VIP Interaction, this dream was fulfilled along with being able to see many other awesome creatures! This is a sponsored post.
What is the VIP Interaction at Seaquest Trumbull Connecticut
At certain time slots throughout the day, you can schedule special interactions with some of the awesome animals. These animals include the sloth, kinkajou, otters, and stingrays! The bundle is currently on sale for $49.95 per person and reservations must be made in advance. You also receive extra tokens to feed the animals. Remember you also still get to interact with all the other animals there as well. So, if you don’t want the VIP interaction, you can still visit a lot of animals and have a blast. Remember food and certain interactions cost tokens to do.
Sloth-
Sloths have gained a lot of popularity recently. My child is obsessed with all things sloth. So to have a sloth interaction for her birthday is just awesome. We went a year ago and the sloth was still really young and never came down. Now that it’s older, it’s a lot friendly and learning to really interact with everyone. You even feed them and when they are eating their food, you can pet the sloth. Right now, the fur is still on the softer side. However, as sloths age, their fur becomes coarser and more matted. No petting the sloth unless it has food.
Kinkajou-
Part of the raccoon family and acts more like a monkey, this cute creature rocks. The Kinkajou often picks a favorite and loved my husband and even nibbled on his ear. They are super inquisitive and full of energy making a great experience and vastly different from the slow and steady sloth.
Otters-
You don’t actually get to pet the otter. However, it’s fun to feed them the shrimp down these long tubes and watching them catch them. They will provide you with gloves. If you are allergic to latex like me, make sure to ask for non-latex.
Stingrays-
Thirty minutes in the giant tank! Seaquest provides everything you need. You just have to bring a swimsuit and a towel. The wetsuits are hilarious to squeeze into if you have a mom body like me. I walked like a duck and felt like a stuffed sausage. But, they keep you very buoyant, fairly warm and once in the water, you are a lot more comfortable. They even have xs suits for the smallest snorkelers. Abby wears a size 5/6 and fits nicely into the wetsuit. They also provide snorkels and masks. At first, I was kind of afraid to use one in a COVID world. However, SeaQuest assured me that they take every measure to keep everything sanitized. Abby has a tiny head and, I found her goggles slipped down a lot. But, she still had an absolute, awesome time.
While in the tank, you can snorkel around and look at all the fish, sharks, and stingrays with you. Don’t worry this isn’t Jaws and the stingrays are de-barbed.
They have you sit on the glass tunnel at the far end of the tank and give you food to feed the stingrays. The Stingrays swim up and suck the food out of your hand. At that point, you can reach in and pet them. Occasionally, you might feel one sucking on you. I’m happy to report that I left with no Stingray Hickeys.
The staff worker was amazing with my daughter and took her for several laps around the tank and it made her so happy.
Helpful tip-If you decide to put your feet down, make sure you shuffle so that you don’t step on anyone.
Other Animals Not in VIP Experience-
There are a bunch of other creatures that you get to visit too. But, you have to go visit and see for yourself or watch our video. We might give some more animals away that we interacted with at Seaquest this time!

Final Thoughts-
Located within the Trumbull Mall, SeaQuest is a unique family experience worth trying. So go swim with the fishes and chill with the sloths. Abby Girl is already asking for her return trip!
